Guy Thomas Burgess, 72, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, February 26, 2012.

Guy was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma, January 7, 1940, to Jay Clyde Burgess and Josie Mae (Hicks) Burgess. He worked on several jobs, but worked the longest for the State of Oklahoma Highway Department. Guy’s hobby was fishing. He also enjoyed the times that he could spend with his family. He will be missed by family and friends.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents Jay and Josie Burgess; sisters Margaret Ament, Nadine Brumett and Vivian Bain; brother “Cotton” Burgess.

He is survived by daughter Sheilia Kub and husband Lloyd; son Arlie Burgess; granddaughter Rebecca Anderson; sisters Nina House and Dorothy King; brother Orville Burgess and wife Ardeth; other relatives and many friends.
