Doris June Collins, 67, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed from this life Wednesday, June 13, 2012.

Doris was born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, on July 21, 1944, to Leonard Cherry and Pauline (Moore) Cherry. She married her sweetheart Howard Collins in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, on December 1, 1961. For many years, Doris worked for Nelson Electric in the Accounts Payable Department. Embroidering , fishing with Howard, (prior to his death), and playing internet games, occupied Doris’s time. Spending time with her beloved family were very special times. She was of the Baptist Faith. Her wonderful attitude and big smile will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Preceding Doris in death were her parents Leonard and Pauline Cherry; husband Howard Collins; brother L.D. Cherry; and sister Edith Williams.

Surviving Doris are son David Collins and wife Tammy; daughter Rebecca Luce and ex- son-in-law Ron Luce; sisters Johnnie Collins and husband Troy and Dimple Finney; 6 grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside services for Doris will be Monday, June 18, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. in the Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2012, from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Sunday, June 17, 2012, from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
