Sharlynn (Epley) Oswalt completed her time on Earth, and joined our Father in Heaven on September 7, 2012. She was 61. Born on August 10, 1951 in Snowflake, AZ, she grew up in Watsonville, CA.
Shar met the love of her life, Larry Oswalt, in Holbrook, AZ in 1976. They married in 1978 and he moved her to Sand Springs. Shar was the manager of Western Sizzlin Steakhouse in Sand Springs for over 10 years. She and her husband owned Larry Oswalt Trucking, Inc. for the final 20 years of her life.
She was active for many years in her church, serving on numerous committees and chairing many events. Her love of the Lord was evident through her service and God given gift of hospitality.
Shar is survived by her loving husband Larry; two sons Joe (Stefania) Barnard, and Jeff (Tamie) Barnard; two daughters Michelle (Rob) Ragan, and Jennifer (Jeremy) Griffin; eight grandchildren that she adored Ashly, Jeffrey, Ana, Kassee, Brayden, Alexandra, Christian, and Nathaniel; siblings Robert Epley, Judy Strickland, and John Godwin; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Viola Logan, and her sister Vicki Connelley.
A Celebration of Life honoring Shar is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Mobley-Dodson Chapel. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
To know Shar was to love and respect her. She will be immeasurably missed, but her inspirational spirit will live within us forever.
