Thomas "Tommy" Isaacs

U.S. VeteranTommy Isaacs, 63, of Tulsa, passed away in Tulsa on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. He was born in Tulsa on February 15, 1948, one of three sons born to Kenneth Lee Isaacs and Gloria Rose (Sexton) Isaacs. After graduating from high school he completed a couple of semesters of college. Tommy was retired from the U. S. Postal Service, where he initially worked as a Mail Carrier and later worked in Maintenance.

He enjoyed motorcycles, and was an avid outdoorsman, who liked to fish and hunt. A musician, he played the harmonica and could frequently be found just jamming with his friends. Tommy was a family man and enjoyed having his children, grandchildren, extended family members and friends around him. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Tommy is survived by his wife Vickie, seven daughters, Kelley Isaacs of Oologah, Janey Jacewitz and husband Nick of Tulsa, Kaity Skelley and husband Matt of Seattle, WA, Stacie Tash and husband Adam, Sarah Jones and husband Jason, and Curstie Wickham and husband Dustin, Kimberly Baker all of Tulsa, two sons, Nick Isaacs and C. J. Wickham, both of Tulsa, thirteen grandchildren, his father, Kenneth Isaacs and his wife Ann of Tulsa, brothers, Kenny Isaacs of Sand Springs, and Danny Isaacs of Tulsa, and Henry, a sister Maggie and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sarah and Austin Maxey of Sand Springs. Gerald Maxey of Tulsa, brother from another mother.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2011 in the Mobley-Dodson Chapel, 211 E Broadway, Sand Springs, with Rev. Sharon Emigh officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Mobley-Dodson.
